The Müller-Guttenbrunn Group acquires 100 % of MBA Polymers and integrates the company into MGG.
As of July 1 2017, MBA Polymers Austria has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group.
The plastics recycling plant in the Kematen business park was founded at the end of 2004 as a joint venture between the American MBA Polymers Inc. and Müller-Guttenbrunn GmbH, established in 2005 and has been in production since the beginning of 2006. This high-tech plant now processes more than 50,000 tons of WEEE plastics per year and thus produces the highest quality post-consumer recycled plastics that can be reused in new EEE appliances. The company was renamed MGG Polymers at the 1st of Jannuary 2018 and the integration into the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group is in full swing. A continuous verification of all Austrian MGG companies according to Cenelec 50625 was successfully completed at the end of November.
Major investment for clean air
Müller-Guttenbrunn modernized the air extraction system of the shredder plant in Amstetten. For this purpose, a state-of-the-art dry air filter, weighing about 15 tons, was installed.
The previous system met the specified limits, but the new filters are even more effective. As a recycling company, it is important for us to always work as environmentally friendly as possible. It is therefore of great importance to us to be at the cutting edge of air purification technology,“explains Christian Müller-Guttenbrunn, Managing Director of the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group, explaining this major investment of around one million euros.
