A few days before Christmas last December, the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group organised an internal ice hockey match at the Amstetten ice rink. Colleagues gave their all, both on the ice and in the stands. The focus was on spending time together.
In good spirits, colleagues from the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group met at the Amstetten ice rink one day before the Christmas party for the third annual ice hockey match. Whether experienced skaters or complete novices, everyone was invited to take part in the event. Some took to the ice, while others watched from the stands.
Thanks to perfect organisation and preparation, ice skates and equipment were available in good time before the match began. Expert assistance was on hand in the changing rooms to help everyone put on their helmets, pads, protectors and jerseys correctly. While the two teams warmed up on the ice, the stands filled up and drinks were served in the heated club room of the ice rink. The atmosphere quickly heated up, with spectators cheering on the teams with applause and loud shouts, creating a real game atmosphere.
On the ice itself, the game was intense from the start. The players gave their all, fought for every puck and engaged in exciting duels. Despite their sporting ambition, however, fair play was the main focus. It was clear that colleagues were playing with each other rather than against each other.
Together instead of against each other: the focus was on enjoying playing together. Alongside organiser Daniel Forstner (2nd row, 4th from left) on the ice was Maximilian Müller-Guttenbrunn (2nd row, 3rd from left).
In the end, the score was irrelevant. As the teams high-fived each other after the final whistle, it was clear that the shared experience had been a win for both sides. Away from their everyday work routine, the ice hockey match offered an opportunity to get to know colleagues from a completely different, more personal perspective. Laughing, cheering, exerting themselves and celebrating successes together – pure, genuine team spirit!
As a sporting prelude to the Christmas party, which was scheduled for the following day, the ice hockey match once again proved to be a great success. It showed once again how valuable joint activities are for the working atmosphere and that team spirit is not only important at work, but also in sport. We can already look forward to the next time we put on our ice skates and take to the ice together!
